Smart TVs recording conversations

Smart TVs recording conversations

In several newspapers and on several websites they warn you agains Smart TVs recording your conversations. You can probably turn it off in privacy settings, but then if you have a voice controlled TV turning off your mic would probably disable this function. Why do they record and where is your conversation sent and stored?

Agree that these features should be locked and controlled. I mean for what purpose is it necessary to record voice on a TV??

It is getting almost impossible to buy new TV's that are not connected to the internet, although rather few consumers actively use the "smart" functions of the TV.
